Match reports 01/10/16

Warrington men's first team were back on form with a 4-2 win away at Didsbury Northern. They were unfortunate to go one down from a short corner, then equalised through Adam Garrod before falling behind again to a breakaway attack. Tom Lloyd deflected in a second equaliser for the visitors before Rob Powell and Garrod netted to secure the win. The women's second team had an exciting game with Lymm 4th team after going down 2-0 early on. Player of the match Vicky Stout and Jess Palmer scored to bring the game level but Lymm claimed a winner with ten minutes to go. The women's first team rued their missed chances as they went down 5-1 against a strong Oxton team. Emma Barlow finished after a Steph Rawlins shot was saved and Jayne Buck was awarded Player of the match. The men's second team performed very well in the first half against Didsbury Northern 6ths. A goal early in the second half broke their resistance and despite an outstanding game on the wing from new players Nick Bottomley and dogged defending from Doug Samuels the game finished 5-0.
