Warrington Ladies' 2nds started well against high flying Oxton on Saturday. Warrington were strong from the start, and had much of the early possession. Oxton took the lead against the run of play after a lucky deflected shot, and then another in quick succession. Warrington continued to press and a well worked team short corner allowed Molly Rudd to deflect in from the p spot to make it 2-1. Despite tenacious running from player of the match Hannah Johnson, unfortunately the second half wasn’t to be for Warrington and the final score ended 7-1 to Oxton.
