Warrington women's hockey teams did the double over local rivals Lymm in their best weekend of the season so far. Marian Taig gave the first team the lead with a cool finish when one on one with the keeper. After dominating the first half Warrington were unlucky to be pulled back to 1-1. Strong defending from Carrie Wright and Sarah Milner kept things level until the last minute when a goal from first team debutant Molly Rudd snatched the win. The second team were in command throughout their game with Lymm 5ths, winning 5-1. Jenny Fox notched up a hat-trick and Becky Miller bagged the other two, whilst Lauren Hayes was awarded Player of the Match. The men's first team won 4-3 away at Sout

hport 2nds. Simon Mason and Adam Garrod gave Warrington a 2-1 lead in an end to end game. Steve Worrall slotted in from a tight angle before Garrod touched in Mason's visionary pass to secure the win. The men's second team held University of Salford's first team to 0-0 throughout the first half but tired later and slipped to a 3-0 defeat.
