The women's first team went behind at Winnington Park first team during a nervous start, but quickly settled into the game to created a string of chances through Jayne Buck and Emma Barlow before Kate Connolly pulled Warrington level from a short corner. Winnington Park applied pressure in the second half but Warrington's defence held firm thanks to some crucial tackles from Steph Rawlins and Carrie Wright and a series of impressive saves from Tracy Jackson.
