Warrington women's seconds fought hard for a 4-2 win against Winnington Park seconds this weekend. Warrington broke the dead lock on the counter attack after a great run from Emma Frew led to a goal from Molly Rudd. Another great reaction rebound goal from player of the match Molly Rudd gave Warrington a 2-0 half time lead. Tammy Finlayson was on the post to slot home Warrington's third goal and Vicky Stout reverse lifted the ball past Winnington's keeper to make it 4-0. Winnington scored two towards the end of the game but Warrington remained calm to hold the lead. The women's first team lost 3-0 to a well drilled Winnington firsts who scored early on to knock the wind out of Warrington's sails. However with the team below them, Neston, failing to win they are guaranteed to finish outside the relegation zone with a game to spare. Warrington men's second team set out with intent to save themselves from relegation and had the better of the first half until they conceded against the run of play. Doug Samuels put in a strong performance but Bolton thirds ran out 2-0 winners. The men's first team were narrowly beaten 3-2 away at Bolton seconds.
