Match reports 23/09/17

Warrington men's second team went a goal up against Lymm thirds through a cool finish from Gavin Brown who ran the game from midfield. A sublime piece of skill from Rich Hannibal on the counter attack put them 2-0 ahead and Rich Bloomfield was outstanding in goal. Mark Hooper made a fantastic goal line clearance before Chris Ashworth finished off a great team goal to seal the 3-0 win. The men's first team continued their success from last week by winning 4-3 against West Derby. Despite playing with 10 men throughout, Warrington's effort and determination showed through as they came from 3-2 down to win 4-3, with a hat trick from Ben Vickers and a goal from Adam Garrod.

The women's second team earned a hard fought point against Wilmslow thirds with a 1-1 draw. Warrington took the lead when Player of the Match Vicky Stout deflected in a short corner strike from Molly Rudd. Olivia Mason and Holly McCurrie were strong in defence, but Wilmslow equalised with ten minutes on the clock. Captain Louise Unsworth equalised twice for Warrington women's first team to get back into an evenly matched game with Chester, first from a short corner routine and then following a great pass from Sarah Gregson. Warrington had chances to take the lead but Chester went ahead again and wrapped up the points catching Warrington on the break as they pushed for another equaliser.
