Match reports 30/09/17

Jayne Buck scored scored twice in the first half to secure a win for Warrington ladies' first team against an energetic Alderley Edge thirds. Warrington dominated with some great passing and teamwork, scoring the first from a short corner and the second when Buck weaved through the defence after excellent link up play from Sarah Milner. Determined defensive efforts from Tracy Jackson and Carrie Wright kept the clean sheet. The men's second team faced a good Whitchurch side and were 2 - 1 down by half time, but they dug deep to pull it back to 2 - 2 with two well struck short corners by Mark Hooper. Player of Match Nick Bottomly continued his top form in midfield. The ladies' seconds also played away at Whitchurch and went 1-0 down early. Player of the Match Vicky Stout brought the score even 10 minutes later with a great solo goal. Warrington conceded three goals in fairly quick succession, before goals from Becky Miller and Amy Quayle made it all to play for at 4-3. The team pushed hard for an equaliser but it was Whitchurch who added a fifth before the full time whistle. The men's first team lost 3-2 to a strong Keswick side despite goals from Adam Garrod and Ben Vickers.
