Warrington men's hockey teams had a winning weekend as they beat Blackpool seconds and Winnington fourths respectively. The first team were on fire as they banged in eight goals without reply against Blackpool. Ben Vickers continued his sensational start to the season by scoring 5 goals thanks to some great link up play from Noal Phillpotts and Scott Reed. Rob Powell scored a stunning strike shortly before half time and Matt Petitt and Adam Garrod added to the score after some neat passing.

The seconds had a much tougher game against a strong Winnington fourths side and but managed to take the full three points with a 2-1 victory. Warrington went 1-0 down in the first half following an unlucky penalty stroke. They pulled level just before half time thanks to a super strike by Gavin Brown from a seemingly impossible angle. An outstanding performance from their keeper and player of the match, Rhydian Burston, meant Warrington didn't concede again meaning Rich Hannibal's goal from a well worked short corner proved to be decisive.
