Warrington men's second team put in a solid performance against Chester sixth team to get 2018 off to a great start with a 6-0 win. William Gilbert's high work rate enable Warrington to dominate the game and Rob Powell scored a cracker of a goal. Chris Ashworth, Mark Hooper, Andy Gould and Gavin Brown (two) all found the back of the net in a win that keeps them in second place. The men's first team took on a very strong Bolton firsts who haven't dropped a point all season. Warrington kept Bolton in check for long periods of the game, aided by some great reaction saves by Roger Parr and Scott Reed battling on heroically with an injury, but it wasn't enough to prevent a 4-0 defeat. The women's firsts took an early lead against Lymm seconds when Player of the Match Molly Rudd calmly slotted home from a right wing cross. Despite having only ten players from the start, Warrington had the best of the first half chances and were unlucky to only be 1-1 at half time. After the break, Lymm's strength showed and some great goal keeping from Tracy Jackson couldn't stop them notching up three quick goals for the win. Player of the Match for the women's seconds was keeper Tish Edwards who made numerous saves to keep Lymm thirds at bay for the majority of the game. Warrington’s defence of Vicky Stout, Olivia Mason, Celina McElevey and Laura Page defended well but Lymm managed to breach them twice for a 2-0 win.
