With five games of the season left, Warrington men's seconds were away to a resurgent third place Deeside team who had won nine of their last ten games. Warrington started well, scoring two quick goals from fast passing and incisive movement.Deeside were able to score three goals in a very open end-to-end game but couldn't keep up with Warrington who got seven. Gavin Brown netted an incredible five times to move clear as the leading goal scorer, with Matt Petitt and Noal Phillpotts getting one each. The men's firsts looked in total control when 3-0 up against Blackburn at half time as Adam Garrod and Ben Vickers both continued their scoring streaks. The goal of the game came when Simon Mason sent an aerial down the right wing for Rob Powell to cross into the D for Andy Gould's to deflect into the net. But in the second half it all went wrong for Warrington as they conceded 4 goals in the last 15 minutes to lose 4-3.
