Warrington women's first team moved into fourth place in Division 2 with a 2-1 win over Bowdon 4s. Warrington took the lead early through Sally Fraser and dominated the first half creating chances for Meg Sutch and Debbie Kinsey before Bowdon managed a surprise equaliser. Warrington won a penalty flick which Jo Nordovics calmly slotted home meaning the solid defending from Holly McCurrie and Steph Rawlins earnt them victory. The men's first team fought bravely against Urmston seconds and despite two goals from Ben Vickers and inspirational saves from keeper Roger Parr they slipped to a 4-2 defeat. The men's and women's second teams both suffered heavy defeats against strong oppositions, the men going down 6-0 to a well disciplined Chester University and the women 11-0 against Whitchurch despite some great shot-stopping from Tracy Jackson. Warrington has started up junior training on Saturday mornings for boys and girls aged 6 - 13 who would like to try hockey.
