Warrington women's firsts came up against a Runcorn side who had scored 25 goals in their previous two games, but the defence led by Carrie Wright and Dawn Harrington were in no mood to be beaten. Sally Froggatt gave Warrington the lead early on and a series of outstanding saves from Player of the Match Tracy Jackson kept Runcorn at bay. Warrington sealed the game with a fantastic five minute period in which they scored twice, Tammy Finlayson finishing emphatically after a great through ball from Vicky Stout and Jo Nordovics scoring at the second attempt. The men's firsts faced a strong Keswick team away. After going 2-0 inside five minutes, Warrington did well to regain their composure and get back in the game. A mix of good goals from Keswick and some bad luck left them with an 8-3 loss, goals coming from Adam Garrod and Ben Vickers (2).
The men’s seconds lost 4-2 against Mossley Hill. Everyone played very well against a tough, skilful opposition. Mark Hooper scored from a short corner to make it 2-1 but later fell awkwardly at another short corner and dislocated and broke his finger. Emerging from half time 3-1 down, Chris Ashworth finished off a good Warrington move. Warrington played some great hockey but Mossley Hill eventually scored a fourth to kill off the game. Everyone pulled together and played well. The women's seconds were unfortunate to lose 2-0 against Triton. The team fought hard first half and were unlucky to concede a goal, after lots of pressure attacking Triton’s defence. Player of the Match Molly Rudd dribbled well past Tritons midfield and linked up well in midfield with Hannah Johnson.
