Warrington women's first team recorded the biggest win in their history as they put an incredible 22 goals past Bebington without reply. Steph Rawlins got them off to the best possible start with a goal inside the first two minutes, her first of 7 goals in the game. Player of the Match Carrie Wright orchestrated an excellent passing performance from the team which led to Laura Hooley and Ffion Harris both scoring their first goals for the club. Jo Nordovics bagged the best goal of the day when she volleyed a lifted ball home for the first in her hat-trick. Midfielders Meg Sutch (2 goals) and Emma McCue (5) both got in on the scoring act. Full backs Holly McCurrie and Nat Lyons raced up and down the wings to support, with Lyons bagging two neat finishes in the second half.
The men's first team lost a physical game 4-2 against an in form Urmston side. From 2-0 down, Warrington pulled it back to 2-1 through a Ben Vickers goal and dominated for a spell but couldn't equalise. After conceding again, Vickers rattled Urmston by scoring from a neat short corner routine involving Simon Mason to make it 3-2 before Urmston ultimately made the game safe with a fourth. Both second teams struggled with the men losting 5-1 to a youthful University of Chester side and the women losing 5-0 to Deeside thirds with all five goals scored in the first half. Goalkeeper Tish Edwards made some great saves and Player of the Match defender Vicky Stoll kept the visitors at bay. The men's seconds lost 5-1 to a youthful University of Chester side.
